Charity Item raising Funds for Front Line Healthcare Staff in Dublin's St. James's Hospital Kindly donated by the ery.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pearse Lyons Distillery , this very unique Collector's Edition set features 4 batch #001 bottlings  signed by our founder, the late Dr Pearse Lyons. Details from the Pearse Distillery To recognise the outstanding work of the frontline medical staff in our own neighbourhood of The Liberties, Dublin, Pearse Lyons Distillery is raising money to support St. James’s Hospital. By participating in this auction, you can help us show our gratitude for the sacrifice they are making for us every day to stem the spread of the Coronavirus – and the highest bidder will own something that no one else in the world can ever own: A box set collection of our original, Batch #001 bottlings, two of which are signed by our founder, the late Dr Pearse Lyons and the remaining two by Jack O’Shea, the distilling legend who oversaw our first batch of Pearse Irish Whiskeys.   The Collector’s Box Set When we first opened in the summer of 2017, we had four Pearse Irish Whiskeys fresh to the market. Our signature collection included The Original, Distiller’s Choice, Founder’s Choice and Cooper’s Select, all bottled at 42% and all with a unique flavour profile. There is only a very small amount of Batch #001 bottles of each type still in existence and currently no longer available for individual sale. Cooper’s Select was our first limited edition release and all individual bottles are now sold out. We wanted to give these fine bottles the send-off they deserve so we created a limited-edition box set, handcrafted in Ireland by Luxe Box Ireland. There were only 50 of these released last September, exclusively available through our distillery gift shop and online retail. However, there is only one set that is signed by Pearse and Jack and that is the edition that is going up for auction. Features The four bottles sit in a display style open faced box with a hinged panel on top. Fitted with a back mirror and finished in walnut veneer this beautiful collector’s presentation box features the story of Pearse Lyons Distillery laser printed on the side panel. The name of each whiskey is printed on the bottom of the front panel under each corresponding bottle. Pearse signed the bottles after the opening reception on St. James’s Day, July 25th, 2017. Sadly, Pearse passed away the following March and so signed bottles are extremely rare. “My father knew better than anyone that good whiskey brings people together,” said Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech and son of Pearse Lyons. “What better way to unite — even at a distance — than in support of our healthcare professionals? This auction reflects the humanitarian spirit of Pearse Lyons Distillery and of Pearse Lyons.”
