One of the rarer Vintage Bottles from the Old Midleton Distillery A Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey  distilled in the old  Midleton distillery in 1973 . The whiskey is made up of malted and unmalted (green) barley, matured for 26 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso butts, it has then been finished for a few months in specially chosen port pipes. A very rare bottle of Castle "Grand JJ"  7 Year Old Dublin whiskey. This was distilled at John Jameson & Son's distillery on Bow Street, Dublin. This whiskey would later be sold by Gilbey's under either their Redbreast or Castle Grand JJ brand. This bottle was for W & A Gilbey Ltd, London NW1 The Castle Grand JJ brand was phased out during the 1940s and we would estimate that this was bottled during the late 1930s to early 1940s. In very Good condition with very  little loss on the fill level 75.5 proof,  no bottle size we suggest it is 150ml
